ABOUT MEREDITH MEYER

Meredith is a recent graduate of the Master of Engineering program at UC Berkeley in mechanical engineering product design. She has a passion for making things, and then making them better. In her mind,
there is nothing more satisfying than creating something new that other people can then use. She is currently searching for a full-time position in the San Francisco Bay Area.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Where I've Studied

MENG, UC BERKELEY

2017-2018

I just recently graduated from the Master of Engineering program at UC Berkeley, with a major in mechanical engineering and a concentration in product design. This 1 year professional degree, more so than an M.S., has prepared me well for a career in industry. I have worked on multiple projects, studied real business case studies, and perfected my communication skills.

BS, UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH

2013-2017

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) with a B.S. in Bioengineering. My concentration here was biomechanics, and I received a minor in mechanical engineering during my 4 years as well. My undergraduate education culminated in a year long project in which I was part of a team that designed a biomechanical device that stabilizes a knee brace.

STUDY ABROAD, CAPA

2015

For a month in the summer of 2015, I was able to expand my engineering knowledge on-location in Florence, Italy. In addition to receiving a background in the Italian language and culture, I studied the engineering accomplishments of Renaissance period. I spent multiple weeks learning about the contributions of Leonardo da Vinci as well as of Filippo Brunelleschi in completing the engineering feat that is the Duomo of the Florence Cathedral.
